I’m willing to place a hypothetical bet that you’ve seen at least one episode or snippet of a Chuck Lorre sitcom in your life. He is synonymous with sitcoms that have sets that feel realistic and homey. The sitcom homes/apartments in these shows often look like a typical house.

I want to talk about a few of the sitcoms that he has been a part of, and that I’ve personally seen every episode of. đŸ€

He is an American television producer, writer, director, and composer. Nicknamed the “King of Sitcoms”, Lorre has created/co-created and produced many sitcoms including Cybill (1995–1998), Dharma & Greg (1997–2002), Two and a Half Men (2003–2015), The Big Bang Theory (2007–2019) and its spinoffs Young Sheldon (2017–2024) and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage (2024–present), and Mom (2013–2021). Brief Thoughts on the Show: I love this show, and it’s one I find myself watching random episodes when they’re on TV and I don’t know what else to watch. It has such relatable and fun characters that it is very easy to connect with especially if you are in a STEM career.

Why I Enjoyed It: I really enjoy learning the backstory of Sheldon Cooper and seeing his family dynamic. He’s quirky and blunt, and I think Iain was the perfect actor. As the seasons progress, you literally watch the characters grow up, especially the younger ones. I think it does a great job of continuing the Big Bang Theory franchise and providing more insight into why Sheldon is the way that he is.

Brief Thoughts on the Show: Allison Janney is hilarious, and I love the dynamic she brings with all the other actors. This show does a pretty good job of displaying addiction and recovery and the tumultuous path that comes with it. It does a good job of talking about cycles and hardships in life.

Brief Thoughts on the Show: I liked this show a lot. Leanne and Carol have a great dynamic, and I think it displays life after a divorce. It is also supposed to be set in Knoxville, TN even though it is very clearly not. It has been renewed for season 2, so I am eager to see it when it comes out!

S8:E07 Adam borrows an RV from his friend & Bonnie is not thrilled but gives it one night; Jill goes to see her dentist & he’s going to be retiring & Jill isn’t handling it well; Bonnie likes the RV until she finds out Adam bought it without talking to her - “What’d you buy now a boat, a space shuttle, a papa John’s franchise?”
S8:E08 Bonnie wants to get a new hobby for the spare room; Tammy is fed up with Marjorie & Adam convinces her to go to an Alenon meeting; Trevor’s apt looks nice; Jill is on a ton of dating apps & Trevor has a crush on her; Bonnie has a hard time cleaning out Christy’s room bc she thinks she’s never coming back; Jill gives Trevor a tissue box cover she made
S8:E09 Jill runs into Trevor at juice bar; Bonnie makes some mocktails for Adam’s bar; Bonnie’s mocktails are a hit; Trevor has a dilemma where he wants to see Jill but can’t as long as Bonnie is his patient & when Jill asks him out, he has to deny her; Bonnie realized the mocktails might bring her closer to actually drinking
S8:E10 Jill has bangs & shorter hair; Girls give blood & see Wendy kissing a doctor; Valentine’s Day; Gary breaks up with Marjorie via text & she falls & breaks her wrist; Turns out Wendy’s man is married & she’s fine with it; Adam & Bonnie have nice Valentine’s meal then Jill joins then Tammy & Marjorie & then Wendy; Wendy & her boyfriend breaks up
S8:E11 Rod wants a male sponsor which Bonnie is offended at first but eventually comes around; Jill and Rod hook up
S8:E12 Christy’s stripped photo has been on a billboard for 20 years & Bonnie just saw it & wants to take it down; Rod and Jill avoid each other but reconcile; Girls help Bonnie paint the sign
S8:E13 Bonnie find Adam’s amends journal he lost & inspires him to start making amends; Adam runs away & gets in a bar fight & gets arrested & Marjorie goes to pick him up; Tammy tries to make an amends to the Outback she robbed
S8:E14 Tammy buys a truck & Bonnie is jealous of her success; Jill& Wendy go to hip hop class & then pottery; Jill learns that not everything needs to be perfect & she tells Andy she’s okay with what happened between them; Bonnie & Tammy go into business together
S8:E15 Bonnie is false-advertising on her & Tammy’s website & Tammy is having a hard time with it; Bonnie & Tammy get in a fight after Tammy can’t continue lying anymore; Tammy & Bonnie are back to working together
S8:E16 Bonnie is upset Adam doesn’t want to kiss her; Jill & Andy run into each other at the bank & it gets robbed & they reconnect; Trevor’s ex-wife tries to come back into his life & Bonnie gets him to ask an old crush out on a date
S8:E17 It’s been a few months since Jill & Andy get back together; Majorie is being honored for the Napa Valley Community Hero award & there’s a gala; At the gala, Jill gets sick, Wendy has a boob slip, Tammy takes care of Jill & Marjorie goes to check on them; Tammy flirts with the limo driver Clayton; Bonnie gives a thoughtful and heart-warming speech about Marjorie; Jill is pregnant
S8:E18 Jill is 4 months pregnant; Bonnie & Tammy’s business is good; Tammy is dating a guy; Marjorie is still babysitting Sophia sometimes; There is a new comer to AA named Shannon who Bonnie & the girls try to help; Jill & Andy get married; Adam finds out he has cancer & Bonnie freaks out a little but comes around to support him; it’s been 8 years since Bonnie stepped into AA
